About Pollen Street Social

Pollen Street Social opened in April 2011, and was awarded a Michelin star within just six months , alongside 5 AA Rosettes and no.4 in The Good Food Guide’s best UK restaurants. The restaurant delivers an informal and social setting, where the surroundings are as vibrant as the food.

Team

Pollen Street Social was opened by Michelin-starred chef Jason Atherton and is run by Jason and Head Chef Dale Bainbridge. The front of house team is managed by George Harris and includes Head Sommelier Alex Gilbert-Petz.

We’re only as good as our ingredients. That’s why at Pollen Street Social we nurture long-term relationships with suppliers from across Britain to get the best produce, from Colchester crab to Buccleuch beef.

PRIVATE DINING ROOM (THE CHEF’S ROOM): The restaurant’s private dining room doubles up as a sommelier’s room or corporate room hire,  and offers views through to the development kitchen. Capacity: up to 12 guests

EXCLUSIVE HIRE: Pollen Street Social is available for exclusive hire of the restaurant and bar, beginning with drinks and canapés in the bar, before moving through to the restaurant. Capacity: up to 50 guests

OUTSIDE CATERING: We also offer off-site catering for those who wish to recreate the Pollen Street Social experience at a location of their choice.

Tuesday – Saturday:
Lunch 12pm – 2.30pm, Dinner 6.00pm – 10:00pm (last booking time, with last order time 10:30pm)

Bar open all day from 12.00pm – 11.00pm

Please note, our reservations phone lines is open from 9.00am to 6.00pm (Monday to Friday).

Please note that credit card details are required for ALL bookings and a £40pp charge will automatically be taken from the card provided should you fail to cancel your reservation 48 hours prior to the booking. This amount is not refundable, and bookings are not transferable to a new date after the 48-hour period.

Please note, last orders at lunch for the tasting menu are at 1.45pm. If your reservation is at this time and you wish to have the tasting menu please make us aware either prior to your arrival or as soon as you sit down at your table.

Pollen Street Social's Head Chef Dale Bainbridge

DALE BAINBRIDGE

Executive Chef

Dale began his career at the Dakota Nottingham Hotel under its Chef Director Roy Brett. After spending a year at Macdonald Linden Hall Golf & Country Club, Northumberland, he moved to Crathorne Hall Hotel in North Yorkshire, a recipient of four stars from the AA and recognised as one of the top 200 hotels in the UK. He then went to work for award-winning chef Richard Corrigan at his eponymous Corrigan’s Mayfair restaurant. Dale joined Pollen Street Social as sous chef in 2013 and worked his way up to head chef in 2015.

JASON ATHERTON

Chef Patron

Jason Atherton started out working alongside great chefs including Pierre Koffmann, Marco Pierre White, Nico Ladenis and Ferran Adria at el Bulli, before joining the Gordon Ramsay Holdings in 2001 and launching ‘Maze’, first in London and then another five globally. Jason opened ‘Pollen Street Social’ in April 2011 and now runs 16 restaurants internationally. Jason is married to Irha Atherton who works alongside him as co-director at The Social Company. Irha also runs the head office in Soho, London.

George Harris, General Manager

GEORGE HARRIS

Restaurant Manager

George has worked within The Social Company for several years, starting as Restaurant Manager at Pollen Street Social, then becoming Assistant General Manager working for The Betterment, by Jason Atherton at The Biltmore, Mayfair. Following successful years, George has returned to Pollen Street Social, working his way up to General Manager, leading the front of house team for more than two years and bringing his passion for exceptional guest service. ​George has become a strong member of The Social Company family.

GIACOMO DELLA BRIOTTA

Restaurant Manager

Born and raised in Milan, Giacomo started his career in Italy and Tuscany in Michelin Star restaurants. He moved to London in 2020 where he joined the three Michelin Star Alain Ducasse at the Dorchester's team. After two successful years, Giacomo became Head Waiter at Pollen Street Social, working his way up to Restaurant Manager. Giacomo's experiences and achievements make him a great asset to the team, delivering excellent and dedicated service to the guests.

ALEX GILBERT-PETZ

Head Sommelier

Over the Past 18 years, Alex has been fortunate to work in some of the UK’s most Luxurious London hotel’s and Michelin starred restaurants. Alex took over from Laure Patry at City Social as Head Sommelier in September last year, and has now joined as Head Sommelier here at Pollen Street Social.
